General Questions
College Medical Center is committed to delivering quality and personalized care. For those receiving medical treatment at College Medical Center who do not have insurance coverage, alternate funding and payment plan options are available. College Medical Center staff members will work with you to identify the options available to you based on government and hospital rules and regulations. Below are some of the financial assistance programs we offer:
The Medi-Cal Eligibility Program is a hospital service provided to you at no cost. You may qualify for government programs that pay for all or part of your hospital and medical expenses. If you’re under 21 or over 65 years old, have children in the household, are pregnant or potential disabled you may qualify.
College Medical Center offers a discount for patients who may not have health insurance coverage.
Our Payment Plan Agreement option provides flexibility and affordability to pay the costs for your hospital visits:
- 0 Interest and an APR of 0% for the life of the plan. No application fees or annual dues.
- A cash down payment may be required.
- Patients may apply for financial assistance. Patients whose household income is below 400% the Federal Poverty Level are eligible for either Charity Care or Discount Payments.

Households with income 200% less of the Federal Poverty Level qualify to have their entire bill covered by Charity Care.

Households with income between 200% and 400% of the Federal Poverty Level qualify to have reduced bills with Discount Payments
College Medical Center provides financial assistance for qualifying patients who need help paying their bills for emergencies and/or medically necessary care they receive at College Medical Center. There are several other sources you can turn to for more information on how to apply and other programs available to help.

If you believe you were wrongly denied financial assistance, you may file a complaint with the State of California’s Hospital Bill Complaint Program.
