Job Summary:
The Part-Time Nursing Assistant will provide direct patient care on a scheduled basis, supporting unit staffing needs during night (NOC) shifts. Responsibilities include assisting patients with a variety of physical and medical-surgical needs, supporting activities of daily living, and participating in social and recreational programs to promote optimal patient well-being during their stay. This role requires reliability, flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Schedule: Part-time, day shift.
Qualifications:
- Current Nursing Assistant certification (CNA or equivalent) as required by state regulations; one year of experience preferred.
- Experience operating basic medical equipment and handling biohazardous materials.
- Proficiency in obtaining vital signs and promptly recognizing and reporting changes in patient condition.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in routine patient care activities appropriate to the needs of the assigned unit’s population.
- Perform delegated care tasks accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and secure environment for all patients at all times.
- Observe and promptly report any changes in patient condition to the Charge Nurse or appropriate clinical staff.
- Complete required Nursing Assistant documentation and progress notes accurately and within established timeframes.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, additional compensation may be available for CHLB/Glendora Hospital roles, such as shift differentials and other special pay practices. The posted compensation for this position is a reasonable estimate that ranges from the lowest to the highest pay CHLB/Glendora Hospital, in good faith, believes it might pay for this job based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
