We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at our Corporate office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with expertise in various accounting software with experience in Long Term Care. This role requires a solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements for the ownership groups many entities.
Responsibilities
- Understanding and preparations of financial statements is a must
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Some financial oversight for the ownership team may be required
- Will oversee financial responsibilities for the ownership groups’ many entities
- Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation.
- Review Accounts Payable general ledger coding.
- Conduct financial analysis, including cash flow analysis and budgeting, to support management decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and tax filings, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Support auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial transactions.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years’ accounting experience
- Healthcare experience particularly in Long Term care is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with proven business and financial acumen.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
Pay: $45.00 – $50.00 per hour
Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for College Health Enterprises (CHE) roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that College Health Enterprises (CHE)in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
