Program Aims:

We aim to promote a focus on community-based care in order to serve our greater community at large. We provide a unique training environment which focuses on a model which promotes autonomy in an unopposed residency program. We teach our residents how to problem solve and how to care for patients when resources which are uniquely available at larger University Hospitals are not readily available tp us at first. Our goal is to train our graduates to be successful physicians in any career path that they choose inclusive of community-based work, hospitalist work, academic work focusing on quality improvement or sub-specialty training. We are proud to have graduates who have matched in several competitive fellowship programs, as well as others who have been very successful in both the hospital and outpatient areas. Many of our graduates have gone on to assume leadership positions at their respective places of employment.
