The infection control program
The Infection Control program at CMC is essentially a patient and staff safety program based on surveillance, prevention and control of infections through observation, education and implementation of good clinical practices.
Our hospital is committted to your safety, and we invite you to join us to make sure your care is as safe as possible.
Meningococcemia
- Sudden onset of flu-like symptoms, including fever, headache, vomiting.
- Stiff neck or tingling in the hands and arms.
- Reddish-purple rash that does not blanch when pressed
Call your health care provider immediately or go to the emergency room if you have symptoms suggestive of meningococcemia.
