Dr. Yaroslav Polehonkyi MD

Biography

Dr. Yaroslav Polehonkyi is a psychiatry resident at College Medical Center in Long Beach, California. He received his medical degree from Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University in Ukraine. His clinical interests include mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and the application of emerging biological and neuromodulation treatments in psychiatry. 

Dr. Polehonkyi is particularly interested in how evolving technologies and treatment approaches can improve the understanding and management of complex psychiatric conditions. He values a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to care and enjoys working with individuals from diverse cultural and clinical backgrounds. 

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Polehonkyi has an interest in advancing the integration of innovative therapies into psychiatric practice. His academic involvement includes contributing to research and scholarly activities related to neuromodulation and novel treatment strategies. 
Outside of clinical practice, he enjoys staying active, exploring new experiences, and continuing to learn about developments in neuroscience, mental health care, and technology.
