Biography

Dr. Charles is a second-year psychiatry resident at College Medical Center. He received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Windsor University School of Medicine and subsequently completed a postgraduate internship in primary care in Jamaica, West Indies. During this period, he developed a strong interest in community mental health and trauma-informed care, particularly in addressing the mental health needs of underserved populations. 

His academic and clinical interests include interventional psychiatry, digital mental health technologies, and the treatment of substance use disorders. He is particularly interested in emerging and evidence-based approaches that expand access to effective psychiatric care. 

Outside of his professional training, Dr. Charles enjoys long-distance running and photography, and he remains actively involved in Christian community activities.
