Job Summary:
College Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse who utilizes professional and technical skills to provide direct, safe, and effective care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the surrounding community. This role supports the Hospital’s Mission by delivering distinctive, compassionate care to every patient.
Schedule: 12 hour shifts; 12 hours straight pay.
Job Qualifications:
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS for healthcare providers required upon hire; PALS required within 6 months of hire
- CPI certification required within 30 days of employment
- One year of emergency nursing experience in an acute care facility preferred
- Minimum one (1) year experience in an acute psychiatric inpatient setting required
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care, with understanding of growth and development across the lifespan
Job-Specific Duties:
- Provide direct nursing care and appropriate triage for emergent, urgent, and non‑urgent patients.
- Use the full nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to coordinate and deliver patient care.
- Perform timely assessments, recognize changes in condition, and report abnormal findings to the provider promptly.
- Administer medications safely and accurately, including emergency and cardiovascular drugs.
- Document care, patient responses, and changes in condition clearly and on time.
- Educate patients and families based on identified learning needs and barriers.
- Recognize and respond immediately to life‑threatening situations and participate in emergency procedures.
- Provide age‑appropriate, safe care across the lifespan.
- Maintain required competencies, continuing education, and adhere to legal, regulatory, and hospital standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, additional compensation may be available for CHLB/Glendora Hospital roles, such as shift differentials and other special pay practices. The posted compensation for this position is a reasonable estimate that ranges from the lowest to the highest pay CHLB/Glendora Hospital, in good faith, believes it might pay for this job based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
